In true God-like fashion, there were no major parting-of-the-Red-Sea-make-the-problems-go-away miracles, BUT…lots of evidence that our faithful Father is at work to encourage and give hope nonetheless.  Here are a few examples:
  • a sudden, "ta-da" moment of some financial restructuring we could do that could help in the short run;
  • I found a small reimbursement check from the vision plan that I had forgotten had been sent to me - which covered some materials we still needed to buy;
  • last Monday afternoon I was informed that I'm being promoted to a first level analyst position (which I didn't even know I was being considered for) - no raise in salary at this time, but a performance cash bonus that will also help with some debt in the short run;
  • I finished a website project for a long time client that will net some more cash that will help;
  • AND, on Friday I (and other members of my team), were informed that because of the rush work we all did to get a major project out the door on time, were each receiving a cash "bonus" as a thank you. (!)

Day after day, God continues to send scriptures to encourage us to persevere, have faith, and trust in Him; friends let us know that they are praying, and what - specifically - they are praying for. I can't tell you how much those prayers mean to us, and how much they help keep us going. We have to constantly fight against the temptation to give up. So please keep up the prayers! As we continue through this adventure, I am more and more convinced that the true power in a Christian's life is prayer. It truly CAN produce miracles!

Now on another note... unfortunately, however, the enemy is still plugging away - we were notified by our attorney that the "other side" has asked for a few more weeks to prepare their documents for the demand for discovery. According to our attorney, it's a "given" that we have to give it to them. (Personally, I don’t see why a month isn't long enough, but I guess it's all part of the game.)  He said that if they don't comply by April 30th it will be "a more serious matter"…but he didn't say what that meant.  So, imho, once again, the "bad guys" get all the breaks and the "good guys" get shafted by the system. Oh well, I have to keep reminding myself that God is in control, and in the end, He's already won the battle!

Onward and Upward....!
