God is so good! After our last posting, God worked over time to send us encouragement every single day. People called, wrote emails, sent scriptures - all assuring us that God was on our side, that the truth would prevail, and telling us to hang in there, that we were on the right track - and all assured us of their prayers. Some even shared our story - and need for prayer - with other church members and "prayer warriors".  God's outpouring of love has been overwhelming.

But it didn't stop there. We diligently sought a new attorney. The one we had been using did not have our best interests at heart and was not willing to "fight" the lies on our behalf. So, we started searching, not having a clue how to find a good attorney - or how we would be able to pay for one - and knowing that time was of the essence (if we do not file a response to the lawsuit by 2/4, we will automatically have a judgement against us for the full $26,000 amount the carpenter is claiming we owe), but always believing that God would somehow provide.  And provide He did!

We are meeting tomorrow with a bankruptcy attorney who, just in hearing the high level overview of our case over the phone, feels that once he makes the plaintiff's attorney aware of OUR side of the case that we will pretty much be in the driver's seat. And, the best part is, he's only charging us a $1,000 retainer fee! The final bill will likely be higher than that, but at least we can afford to retain him to get our answer filed on time. PRAISE GOD!

It's strange, because nothing has really changed with our circumstances, and yet since our perspective on God's ability to provide what's needed has changed so dramatically, nothing will ever be the same again. God is an AWESOME, loving father who stands always ready to protect His children - especially when they so desperately (as in our case) want to be doing His will. I have come to understand in a way I've never understood before that I have nothing to fear in trusting Him. I can step out in complete confidence to do His will knowing He will never leave me or forsake me. Hallelujah!!

Stay tuned.....we'll let you know what happens with the attorney. And PLEASSE KEEP PRAYING! Your fervent prayers on our behalf are helping to win the battle against the enemy who desperately does not want this house to open!
