So much has happened since my last update (I can't believe it was a month ago!), that I hope I remember it all.

First of all, we owe such a debt of thanks to an almighty God who has continued to prove Himself both all powerful and faithful. Truly it is HIS hand getting this project done, not ours.

Although we are about two months behind the originally planned schedule, things at the house have moved along in rapid succession this past month and MUCH has been accomplished. I have to keep reminding myself that is God's project; and it's HIS timetable, not mine, that will prevail.

Next, we owe a HUGE debt of thanks to our son Jay and our friend Kevin. Jay took a month off from work, flew here from North Carolina, and took over the job of General Contractor/Site Superintendent as well as doing carpentry work and all the site grading and road building. Kevin has been a faithful friend since day 1 on this house and has continued to work harder than anyone I've ever known to do whatever is needed. Without these two guys, this project would have been in serious jeopardy. You can see their handiwork in the newest updated pictures from the construction progress page on the website.

And now, our friend Lisa has joined the ranks as the newest ongoing volunteer to whom we owe a huge "thank you"! God is so faithful to provide exactly what is needed when it is needed.

Now, on to what has been accomplished...

The plumbing is finished. Everything is virtually done for the HVAC; just a couple of last hookups and the house will have heating and air conditioning. The septic system is completely finished. The electrical contractor astounded us by wiring the entire house in ONE day! His crew was amazing. Most of the grading work is finished; and we now have a road, a turn around in front of the house, and a driveway. The deck/porch all the way around the house is almost 50% completed. The insulation is finished on the first floor; and once that is done, the drywallers can come in and do their thing.  After they are complete, all the contractors will be done, and it will be totally up to us to do all the finish work. If anyone wants to volunteer, we sure could use your help!! Feel free to call us (309-310-5435) or email us (acameron@siron.net or sandra@siron.net ).

Due to the delays, we have had to postpone our dedication of the house that was orginally scheduled for September 14th. We'll let you know when we are able to reschedule.

And finally, once again we extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who continues to keep this project in prayer. It truly is moving mountains, so keep up the good work!
