When I arrived at our lot that morning, my heart skipped a beat. There were TWO flatbed semi's fully loaded with house parts trying to decide how to get down to our property. The roads at Spin Lake are narrow, and the there were at least two sharp turns and a deeply rutted curve they had to maneauver around to get there. If I was a betting woman, I would have wagered all I owned that it could not be done. But then....I've never seen a seasoned trucker at work before. Oh my gosh.
It took some effort (getting stuck, being pulled out, studying the angles, etc....not to mention some of the most fervent prayer *I* have ever undertaken)....but by 9 a.m. they had the first truck backed on to the site. (See the pictures at

We had picked up 6 guys at the Coffeehouse that morning who wanted a day's work, and together with the Cameron, the contractor, and two of his men they got both the trucks unloaded by 1:30! It was a hot, sunny day, and several went home with sunburns, but they had so impressed the contractor that he hired them to come back the next day to help with constructing the house. In fact, two of those men have been offered a job beyond this project! Praise God!
